My creative process involves a large amount of time spent brainstorming before I even put a pencil to a page. Everything around me as I am thinking of the project I am currently working on becomes some form of inspiration - be it from television, music, film, street signs - as I progress through completing a brain map for a work. To illustrate this quality of overlap and dialogue between all these diverse elements, I compile all of these influences in a way that isn't too outlined or planned out. There is usually a feeling of controlled chaos, or differentiating components coming together to communicate and create a unified work. My works investigate the themes of nostalgia or my own identity and create a form of conversation between the two.
